But to start from the beginning, what is an IQ test really? And what does the score mean? IQ stands for ‘Intelligence Quotient’, meaning how smart you are. It’s supposed to give you an idea of how well you’ll do at a certain profession or how well you’ll perform academically.
The basic concept of an IQ test is to estimate how well the brain solves problems in paper form. What is measures is the ability to solve written problems. The raw test scores are then compared to other persons. It’s one method commonly used to measure human intelligence.
The average IQ score is 100. Any score over 100 means you are more intelligent than average. Any score less than 100 indicates your intelligence level doesn’t match up to the average John Doe.
Positive sides of the IQ test
